Description:
Request from a user testing P4Polarion:
> Would it be possible to add to the Repository Settings page of the
> integration tool a function for the user for checking the connection
> to the Perforce server or a field showing the result of the server
> connection test automatically conducted by the integration tool, like
> the [Server status] field on the [Perforce Server Sources] tab of
> P4DTG?
>
> As the current integration tool does not have such function or field,
> when Polarion fails connecting to the Perforce server, the user is
> required to open the error log of Polarion and look for the causes of
> the connection problem, which is very time-consuming.
DevNotes:
The request for a 'test connection' button is outside of the scope of the Polarion API. Polarion would need to provide assistance by extending the API.
