A Perforce-credentialed consultant and trainer, Jeff has been a build / release engineer since the mid-90's, and a Unix developer and Tech Support engineer in prior lives in the 80's. He knows the needs of real engineers, and uses tools like Perforce to make life easier for the folks toiling over a hot monitor.

Jeff can provide the Perforce three-day class at your company,
 for three interfaces: p4, p4v.
The on-site class is a terrific value: the content (slides, exercises) for the basic class is the same as the public classes (Jeff's taught several of those for Perforce, but there is an economy by training entire departments or groups of employees.

Note the new advanced class, using Piccolo-developed materials for the advanced user / administrator.

In addition, we can abbreviate, summarize, and augment the
courses to your needs. Many clients have asked for one-day classes
for their engineers; technical leads or administrators often sit in a
 second day of advanced topics.

One more reason to use a Perforce Certified Trainer / Consulting Partner:

If the class wants to spend a little more time discussing topic X, because it is turning into an inpromptu software architecture meeting about source code organization or release planning, you have a Perforce Consulting Partner and Certified Trainer in the room for immediate answers.

If you are moving from systems such as
ClearCase, RCS/SCCS, SourceSafe, and CVS, let me know!

Comments from recent customers:

Feb 2006 (Emeryville, California):

"Jeff tailored his 3 days of training to our specific needs, developing exercises appropriate to our environment, and even subcontracted a second p4 expert for our 1/2 day 'stump the expert' session. He broke the training into 1/2 day topics which allowed us to rotate the correct groups of engineers to specific 1/2 days."

"I've trained with Jeff on perforce on more than one occasion and found his training well organized with appropriate example problems to drive the lessons home."

Mar 2006 (Seattle, Washington):

day 1 feedback: "Very patient and knows his stuff!"

day 2 feedback: "... provided materials that I'll be using after the class. They are very relevant... Jeff's knowledge of the product, configuration management, and development management is impressive and lends itself extremely well to a class such as this."

day 3 feedback: "well matched for his audience."

day 4 (admin) feedback: "Excellent! You covered everything I was interseted in and answered my questions thoroughly. I'm ready to use Perforce with renewed enthusiasm."

Mar 2006 (Boise, Idaho):

"Testimonial: to date, this is the best training I've had while working here."

"Thanks for including so much detail in your class, starting on time, and not wasting my time. You kept the class moving and taught a five-day class in two. Thanks also for respecting our differences."

"You seem to be leaving a string of satisfied customers in your wake."
