Hey Tom! The current helix installer settings.cfg and man page make reference to this, but you have this open job. Can the helix installer do this and does this job just need to be closed? If not - perhaps removing such references until this functionality exists? By the way, I'd be super stoked to have a run one script to setup a proxy. Looking forward to this!
The Helix Installer can be and has been successfully used to setup broker-only and proxy-only boxes, but it doesn't do it as cleanly as I like, so the job description is accurate. There were some changes that improved the situation, but it needs focused testing, plus more documentation and examples, before I close this one. And (per the job) some bits aren't done by the script yet, like getting the proxy-specific crontab. None of it is hard to do manually after running the installer, but it'd be nice if you didn't have anything to do after the script was done if you said you only wanted proxy-only or broker-only host.
Good to know you'd like to see this one! This needs to be addressed before we can start thinking about grander futures, like an rpm for the SDP.
